Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor

Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor

‹› Installed only in vehicles with "Comfort" version A/C system

-

Remove glove compartment:

-

Remove the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) with its bracket.

-

Disconnect connector - B - from Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262) - A -.

-

Rotate Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262) - A - approx. 90° in direction of arrow. 

‹› If there is not enough room to rotate Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262) - A -, disengage air channel to right footwell - E - from

heating & A/C unit (remove air channel - C - and slide air channel to right footwell - E - slightly downward).

Remove Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262) - A - from air channel to right footwell -  E -.

Installing

-

Check O-ring seal - D - for damage and proper fitting. 

-

Insert Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262) - A - on proper side into air channel mount -  F -.

‹› An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262) fits without play in mount - F -.

-

Connect connector - B - to Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262) - A - and check wire routing.

-

Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order. 

-

Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) and erase DTCs displayed if necessary.
