Constant Velocity Joint: Removal and Replacement

Outer CV Joint

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Pressure spindle (3207)

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› CV joint boot clamp tool (V.A.G 1682)

Removing

-

Secure drive shaft with protective covers in vise clamp.

-

Remove clamp and slide boot back.

-

Screw (3207) with the M16/M14 thread version into the joint pin until the CV joint is pressed off of the drive axle.

-

Remove circlip.

-

Remove the clamping sleeve and the protective boot.
