Install M10 x 100 bolt - 3 - into rear final drive. 

-

To loosen bolts - 1 - of the driveshaft, counter hold with an assembly lever - 2 -.

-

Remove bolts at the front Constant Velocity (CV) joint, detach the driveshaft and support it using engine and transmission jack (VAG1383A).

Remove bolts at rear CV joint and detach driveshaft.

‹› Only transport and store driveshaft when extended.

Installing

Installation is carried out in reverse order. Note the following: 

‹› To avoid imbalance, the flanges of the driveshaft - arrow A  - and of the rear final drive - arrow B - must be installed so that the factory color

markings or the markings made subsequently are in line.
