Start the engine.

‹› All connections on the Climatronic control module ( J255) A/C control head must be attached.

Measure the voltage between contact "8" in connector -  C - (to the heated windshield control module (J505 )) and contact "16" in connector - D -
(ground connection).

‹› Target value: Approx. battery voltage

‹› If a voltage is measured as less than 5 V, the heated windshield control module (J505) is currently not ready to activate heating of the windshield

or there is a short circuit to ground in the connection to the heated windshield control module (J505). Refer to => [ Heated Windshield Function ]

‹› If a voltage between 5 V and 8 V is measured, the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head activates the heated windshield control

module (J505) which activates heating of the windshield.
