Electronic Throttle Control Module: Programming and Relearning

Kick-down Function, Adapting After Replacing Gas Pedal Module Or Engine Control Module (ECM)

NOTE:  If the throttle position sensor or engine control module are replaced in vehicles with automatic transmission, the kick-down function must be
adapted.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Vehicle diagnostic, testing, and information system VAS 5051 (VAS 5051 B version shown as example only)

Test conditions

-

Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 connected, On-board diagnostics and Data Link Connector DLC "01 Engine
electronics" selected.

-

Engine not running, ignition switched on.

-

No DTCs in DTC memory.
