Oil Pan, Upper Section

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective eyewear

‹› Hand drill with plastic brush attachment

‹› Sealant

Removing

‹› The transmission is removed.

Remove timing chain lower cover. Refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Lower
Timing Chain Cover.

Remove ribbed belt tensioner. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Tensioner ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt
Tensioner/Service and Repair.

Remove generator.

-

Remove bolt - arrows - and generator bracket.

Remove oil pump. Refer to => [ Oil Pump ] See: Oil Pump/Service and Repair/Oil Pump.

Remove bolts - 1 to 7 - for the upper section of the oil pan.
