Removing
‹› The transmission is removed.

Remove timing chain lower cover. Refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] See: Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Lower Timing Chain Cover.

Remove camshaft timing chains from the camshafts. Refer to => [ Camshaft Timing Chains, Removing from Camshafts ] See: Camshaft Timing

CAUTION!
If the running direction is reversed on a used camshaft timing chain, it could be destroyed.
‹› Paint arrows to mark the timing chain running direction so it can be installed again.

Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 - and remove the left chain tension and left camshaft timing chain.

Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 - and remove the right chain tension and right camshaft timing chain.
