Cut off nozzle of tube at front marking (nozzle diameter approximately 3 mm or 5/16 inch).

Thickness of sealant bead: 2 to 3 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) 

CAUTION!  Part numbers are listed for reference only. Always check with your Parts department for the latest information.

Note:  The bead of sealant must not be thicker than 3 mm (approximately 118 inch), as otherwise excess sealant will enter the oil pan and obstruct the
strainer in the oil intake pipe.

Install oil pan immediately and tighten all bolts initially to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).

Tighten bolts in crosswise sequence - final torque: 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.). 

^

Replace seal on oil drain plug and tighten to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). 

Note:  After installing the oil pan, wait for about 30 minutes for the sealant to cure before filling with engine oil.

Fill with engine oil.

Tightening torques 

Lower Oil Pan 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.)  
Oil Drain Plug 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.)
