Screw in bolt from oil seal extractor 2085/1.

^

Remove seal with seal extractor 2085 and bolt 2085/1

Installing

Clean contact and sealing surfaces.

Note:  Do not apply oil to sealing lip or outer circumference of seal before installing.

^

Install guide sleeve (from tool set 3241) onto camshaft.

^

Press in seal until flush using press sleeve 3241/1 and bolt 3241/3.

^

Install Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor rotor.

^

Install CMP sensor housing.

^

Connect connector for CMP sensor.

Tightening torques 

CMP Sensor Housing 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)  
CMP Sensor Rotor 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.)  

^

Unplug Connector From CMP Sender.
