‹› Replace

‹› Only use original equipment bolts, Bolt class 12.9

‹› Insert bolts that are not self-locking with locking compound.

‹› Tightening specification and sequence => [ Tighten the vibration damper bolts in 4 steps: ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Cylinder

‹› Check for wear

‹› Do not kink

‹› Before removing, mark direction of rotation using chalk or felt-tip marker A reversed turning direction can cause damage to the ribbed belt

under operating conditions

‹› When installing the ribbed belt, make sure it is seated correctly on the pulleys
