‹› Always replace mechatronics unit if it is dirty or faulty.

Removing

-

Disconnect battery. 

-

Remove oil pan => [ Oil Pan ] .

-

Remove ATF screen => [ ATF Screen ] .

-

Rotate electrical connector at left of transmission counter clockwise -  arrow - and remove.

Touch vehicle ground with hand (without gloves) to discharge static. 

CAUTION!
‹› Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing mechatronics unit.

‹› Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the mechatronics unit.

Pull off locking clip for wiring harness connector - A -. 

-

Remove Mechatronics bolts in reverse order, i.e. first bolt -  11 -, then - 10 -, etc., up to - 1 -.
