Left And Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motors V48 / V49, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Remove headlamp.

-

Release spring clip - arrow - and remove gas discharge lamp housing cover - 1 - from headlamp housing.

-

Unplug electrical connection - 1 -.

-

Remove screws - arrows -.

-

By swivelling control motor - 2 -, push ball end of positioning stem downwards out of socket.

Installing

-

Tightening torque.

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
-

Start by inserting ball end of positioning stem from underneath in reflector socket. To do so, pull reflector to rear.

NOTE:  Remove EVAP canister up from bracket - arrow - and lay aside with lines connected.

Reconnect harness connector and close housing cover.

-

Secure housing cover using wire clamp.

-

Install headlamp.
