Removing

CAUTION!

Precautions.

‹› Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This

can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove front seat, mechanically adjustable seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Front Power Seats.

Install the Fixture for Seat Repair (VAS 6136 ) on the Engine and Transmission Holder (VAS 6095 ) and secure the front seat to the Fixture (VAS

Remove front backrest, mechanically adjustable seat. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Front Manual Seats, electrically adjustable seat => [ Front Backrest ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Front Power Seats.

Remove backrest cover panel. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front

Remove padding from backrest until screw - 5 - is reached. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and
