Sealing Flange, Transmission Side

‹› With seal

‹› Replace completely, refer to => [ Transmission Side Sealing Flange ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Cylinder Block

Assembly/Crankshaft Seal Retainer/Service and Repair

‹› Do not lubricate or oil the sealing ring lip

‹› Use the guide sleeve supplied for installing

‹› Remove the guide sleeve only after installing the sealing flange onto the crankshaft journal

Ribbed Belt Transmission Side Sealing Flange - Tightening Specifications and Sequence

Tighten sealing flange bolts on the transmission side in 3 stages as follows:

-

Install bolts - 1 through 8 - by hand.

-

Then tighten bolts - 1 to 6 - diagonally in stages to 15 Nm.

-

Tight bolts - 7 - and - 8 - to 15 Nm.
