Insert drill-bit of 6 mm (0.24 in) diameter between lower end of spring and roller
depress brake pedal once with moderate force and with engine not running
check that both wheels turn freely
remove drill-bit

remove lock nut with ratchet and flexible extension while holding adjusting nut with 10 mm open-end wrench
