Replacing Drive Plate For Compressor | Diesel Engine Repair
Fix drive plate (1) in position with special tool
64 1 090 .
Secure drive shaft with socket and reversible ratchet (2).
Remove drive plate with tool in direction of arrow.
Installation:
If necessary, carefully remove remnants of broken drive plate from
inner area of pulley (2).
Warning - risk of damage:
Do not clean with compressed air as remnants may get into the
inside of the A/C compressor.
Washer (1) on drive shaft must be replaced.
Installation:
If rubber element (1) has fallen out, reconnect it correctly in
pulley (2).

All 6 rubber elements must be correctly positioned (over rib of
pulley).
Installation:
Insert drive plate (1) correctly between rubber elements (2) and
bolt onto drive shaft.
