Fit special tools 21 5 010 and 17 0 002 to the expansion tank
(1).
Pump up expansion tank (1) with special tool 17 0 002 to
approx. 2.5 bar.
Caution!
The bleed tool (bleed hose with drip tray) for bleeding the
brake system must never under any circumstances be used
for bleeding the clutch hydraulics.
Failure to comply with this runs the risk of hydraulic fluid
entering the brake system during subsequent brake bleeding
operations. Even the slightest quantities of hydraulic fluid in
the brake system will inevitably lead to failure of the brake.
Therefore only use special tool 21 5 020 which exclusively
comes into contact with hydraulic fluid.
Attach bleeder hose of special tool 21 5 020 to bleeder valve
(1).
Hold clutch slave cylinder in illustrated position (refer to figure)
with special tool 21 5 030.
Open bleeder valve (1).
When hydraulic fluid starts to emerge without bubbles, retract the
piston rod (2) on the clutch slave cylinder with the help of the
spindle, then press back in.
If no air bubbles escape, close breather valve (1), otherwise
repeat this process.
Note:
If necessary, during the bleeding operation, the expansion
tank should be pumped up once again and/or the hydraulic
fluid should be topped up.
Caution!
Under no circumstances remove special tool 21 5 030 from
the clutch slave cylinder if the hydraulic system is pressurized,
otherwise the piston with the push rod could jump out of the
clutch slave cylinder.
