5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Disconnect plug (1) from alternator.
Detach protective cap (2) on battery positive lead.
Release nut (3).
Remove battery positive lead.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 31 1AZ.
Unscrew bolt (1).
Remove roller (2).
Release screws (1) on alternator.
Remove bracket (2).
Pull alternator upwards to remove.
