5 Series E39 M5 (S62) SAL
Disconnect plug connection on pulse generators 1 and 2. Detach
cable strip from injector valves; at same time pull cable channel 3
straight upwards and feed out of bracket (4). Release screws and
remove bracket 4. Disconnect plug connection 5.
Place cable channel 3 to one side.
Note:
Fuel line (6) is screwed to bracket (4).

Note:
The work step Removing throttle actuator describes the
removal of the cable channel and fuel line on cylinder
bank 5 to 8.
Remove throttle actuator.
Caution!
The work step Removing and installing throttle actuator
describes important instructions on installing the pull rods and
throttles.

Remove molded hose from supplementary air distributor of
throttle (cylinder bank 5 to 8).

Remove knock sensor cable guide from return line (cylinder
bank 5 to 8).

Remove heating feed line from engine block and from both
return lines on cylinder heads.

Remove hose for brake booster from throttle body,
cylinder (8).

Disconnect vacuum hose for pressure regulator.
Remove oil lines (1) from cylinder head on cylinder
banks 1 to 4 and 5 to 8.
Note:
The oil lines (1) of cylinder banks 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 are
different.
