5 Series E39 M5 (S62) SAL
Disconnect plug connection (1) for left knock sensor pair.
Unhook both cable ducts (1) from mounts and raise approx.
2 cm.
Installation:
Check seating of rubber grommets on ignition coil cables.
Unclip both cable strips (2), tilt up and tie back (e.g. to engine
hood).
Release hose clamp (1) and detach hose.
Detach vacuum hose (2).
Release screws (1).
Unclip injection pipe with fuel injectors upwards.
Installation:
Check O-rings of fuel injectors for damage, replace if necessary.
Coat O-rings with anti-friction rubber coating (e.g. petroleum jelly).
