Removing and installing vane pump for power
steering (M5)
After assembly, bleed the power steering unit,
refer to 32 13 006.
Caution!
Make sure all parts are absolutely clean.
No dirt is allowed to enter the system.
Seal off open pipe connections with plugs.
Recycling:
Draw hydraulic fluid out of container and do not reuse.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
Remove engine underguard.
Remove ribbed V-belt.
Remove lines on the vane pump.
Installation:
Replace seals.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 32 41 3AZ.
