Unfasten banjo bolt (2).

Moisten protective gaiter at opening (see arrow) with water/soapy
solution.

Remove pipe (1) with banjo bolt (2) and gaiter from air spring.
Banjo bolt (2) remains on pipe.

Seal pipe (1) or connection of air spring (3) with adhesive tape.

Remove air spring (3).

Installation:

Check banjo bolt (2) for dirt, clean if necessary. Then screw in
carefully by hand to avoid damaging the plastic thread and with it
the air spring (3).

Tightening torque 37 12 3AZ

Installation:

Check pipe (1) and retainer (3) for damage, replace if
necessary.

Check protective gaiter (2) for damage, replace if necessary.

Align protective gaiter (2) by way of opening for pipe to upper
section of air spring (4) and install.

Note:

Air spring may be reinstalled despite the turning lock (arrow)
having been broken off.

Replacement:

Modify protective gaiter. 

Release banjo bolt at air spring connection.

After installation:

•

Activate and fill air spring system
