Note:

The bracket for the filler hose of the ITS head airbag is not shown in this illustration.

In the L7, an additional steel bracket is fitted in front of the C-pillar retaining screw.

Cut open cable tie (1).

Disconnect plug connection (2) for gas generator, ITS head
airbag,

refer also to 72 12 ... Unlocking/locking airbag plug connections.

Unfasten self-locking nut (1).

Remove gas generator of ITS head airbag (2).

Installation:

Replace self-locking nut.

Tightening Torque,

refer to Technical Data 72 12 2AZ

Installation:

Lug (1) of gas generator of ITS head airbag must be secured
in hole (2) of A-pillar!
