7 Series E65 740d (M67) SAL
Caution!
Replace adapter sleeves (2) if damaged.
Apply a bead (1) of Drei Bond 1209 sealing compound, refer to
BMW Parts Service, approx. 2 mm high and 3 mm wide in area of
joints.
Note:
The end cover is offered in the set with the crankshaft radial
seal.
Remove crankshaft radial seal.
Draw in new crankshaft radial seal with special tool 11 1 230 in
conjunction with special tool 00 5 500.
Fit special tool 11 2 390 to crankshaft.
Apply a light coat of oil to sealing lip of crankshaft radial seal.
Carefully push on end cover so that it is straight.
Remove special tool 11 2 390.
