Insert special tool  24 4 160  into transmission housing opening.

Grip slightly with screw (1).

Twist in screw (2) and clamp down.

Then tighten down screw (1).

Further tasks:

Remove propeller shaft:

- 

Remove propeller shaft from transmission.

- 

Release center bearing.

- 

Tie propeller shaft to one side.

If necessary, unlock or lock transmission lock.

Note:

When removing and installing the transmission, support the front
end of the engine at the housing with an installation aid
(e.g. transmission lifter).

Perform following tasks:

•

Unlock plug (1) by turning and disconnect

•

Insert special tool 24 2 390  in sealing sleeve.

•

Unclip cable from transmission

These tasks are described in Replacing mechatronics

(Important: Observe important note)

Release screw (1).

Disconnect hydraulic lines (2) to transmission fluid cooler.

Installation:

Replace sealing rings.
