X Series E53 X5 3.0i (M54) OFFRD
Remove sound insulation (1).
Carefully pull outer rubber gaiter out of body cutout.
Caution!
Do not detach inner rubber gaiter from pot on selector arm.
Unscrew nuts.
Tightening torque, 25 1 8AZ.
Detach support bearing (1) from below from selector arm (2).
Grease bearing journal (3) of selector arm.
Grease,
refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids.
Installation:
Observe installation position of support bearing.
