Replacing a rear pulse generator
Caution!
Read and comply with General Information.
Remove rear wheel.
Pull plug connection (1) out of mounting and disconnect.
Installation:
Ensure proper locking of plug connector.
Pull cable with rubber grommets out of brackets and open cable
ties.
Installation:
Ensure proper seating of rubber grommets and proper routing
of impulse sensor cable.
Release hexagon socket head cap screws (1), pull pulse
generator (2) out of bore.
Installation:
Clean hole for impulse sensor and grease with lubricating
grease Staburags NBU 12/K (refer to BMW Service Operating
Fluids).
Tightening torque 34 51 6AZ.
