Removing and installing/replacing lower
section of oil sump (M62)
Open cover on main flow oil filter, engine oil returns to oil
sump.
Remove reinforcement plate.
Caution!
The work step "Removing and installing reinforcement plate"
contains important installation instructions,
refer to 31 10 010.
Open oil drain plug. Drain engine oil.
Unfasten plug connection on oil level switch.
Unclip cable guide.
Release screws (1) and remove lower oil sump section.
Installation:
Clean sealing surfaces.
Replace seal.
Insert all screws (1) and tighten down.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 13 2AZ.
