Replacing left or right control arm
Warning!
If a control arm is deformed and is replaced, the front axle
carrier must be replaced as well!
The bore for the ball joint in the front axle carrier is
deformed/oval.
Note:
Checking control arm:
Refer to Measuring play of wheel control joints.
Remove control arm.
Replace bracket for control arm.
Installation:
Before installing a new component, it is essential to derust the
stub axle in the area of the contact face of the rubber sleeve.
After installation:
•
Perform chassis alignment check
•
Carry out steering angle sensor adjustment
