^ Removing the brake drum and linings or caliper and disc (some vehicles)

Remove the sensor cable from its mountings
4.
Remove the sensor from its mounting to a bracket or knuckle.

INSTALLATION:
1.
On original sensors, these things may be required:
^ On sensors that are adjustable, clean the sensor face of any dirt or remaining shim paper/adhesive.
^ On sensors that mount into aluminum brackets, apply an anti-seize compound to the sensor
2.
On replacement sensors that are adjustable, make sure the paper shim is in position.
3.
Attach the sensor to its mounting. Use correct fastener torque specifications.
4.
Install the sensor cable to its mountings. Follow the specified cable path exactly.
5.
Adjust the sensor-to-toothed ring air gap. (see SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES)
6.
Install any brake or wheel hardware removed for access.
7.
Connect the sensor-to-wiring harness electrical connector.
8.
Drive the vehicle above 18 mph and observe the "ANTILOCK" lamp for correct operation.
