Install pushrod in new hydraulic unit before installing in car.

Refer to instructions included with new hydraulic unit for pushrod installation.
1. Position hydraulic unit in car so that push rod may be engaged on brake pedal hub (pin).
2. Install the two inboard mounting nuts retaining hydraulic unit on mounting adapter. Tighten mounting nuts to 27 Nm (20 lbs. ft.).
3. Install foam washer and retainer on pedal hub.
4. Install driver's side sound insulator panel.
5. Position traction control plunger assembly in car. Tighten outboard mounting nuts to mounting adapter. Tighten mounting nuts to 27 Nm (20 lbs.
ft.).
6. Install brake pipes. If proportioners were removed from the hydraulic unit, install proportioners first and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lbs. ft.). Tighten
pipes to 15 Nm (11 lbs. ft.).
7. Install return hose on reservoir nipple.
8. Install pressure hose and fitting on hydraulic unit and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lbs. ft.). Be sure that washers are properly positioned.
9. Fill hydraulic unit reservoir to the "FULL" mark.
10. Connect all electrical connections to the hydraulic unit and pump motor assembly.
11. Install cross-car brace.
12. Bleed entire brake system. The pump, booster, master cylinder and wheel circuits all must be bled.
13. Install air intake duct and clamps.
14. Turn ignition on and allow pump to charge hydraulic accumulator.
