Allante V8-273 4.5L (1991)
To check for and repair poor terminal contact, separate C403 at the fuel tank and visually inspect the female terminals of circuits 120 (power) and 10-34
(ground) for a deformed terminal contact tang. Refer to Figure 1. If a deformed contact tang is found in either terminal, replace it with P/N 12047767.
The terminals (P/N 12047767), crimp tool, and terminal removal tool are included in the J-38125 Terminal Repair Kit.
NOTE:
DO NOT reform the contact tang in an attempt to repair this condition. If the tang is reformed, it will not exert the proper clamping force against the
mating terminal allowing the condition to recur.
If the terminal contact tangs are not deformed and fuel pressure is dropping during the condition, replace the fuel pump.
