Remove the regulator O-ring and discard.

Use care in removing the pipe so as not to damage the O-ring seating surface.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1.
Lubricate a new O-ring with clean engine oil and install it on the regulator.
2.
Install the regulator base-to-rail tube in pressure regulator base assembly.
3.
Pressure regulator base assembly to rear rail.
4.
Install the two base assembly attaching screws. Tighten to 5 N-m (44 lbs. in.).
5.
Fuel crossover and return tubes.
6.
Fuel rail assembly.
7.
Energize fuel pump and check for fuel leaks.
