13. Remove the power steering gear bolts.
14. Remove the power steering gear through the left wheel opening.
15. Transfer the outer tie rods if replacing the power steering gear.

Installation Procedure 

1. Install the power steering gear through the left wheel opening.

2. Tighten the bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).

Notice:  Install the power steering gear bolts.

3. Install the power steering pressure line retainer bolt to the steering gear.

Tighten the bolt to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).

4. Install the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Replacement in Steering and Suspension.

5. Connect the power steering gear pressure and return lines to the power steering gear.

^

Tighten the fittings to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

Important:  Install new seals on the power steering pressure and return lines.
