Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement (LHD)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the power vacuum brake booster. Refer to Power Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement (LHD) (See: Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake
Booster/Service and Repair)Power Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement (RHD) (See: Application and ID).
2. For vehicles without the electronic parking brake, remove the park brake pedal assembly and front park brake cable and position aside. Refer to
Parking Brake Lever Pedal Assembly Replacement (See: Parking Brake System/Parking Brake Lever/Service and Repair/Parking Brake Lever
Pedal Assembly Replacement).
3. Without disconnecting the steering column from the intermediate shaft, lower and support the steering column. Refer to Steering Column
Replacement (See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Steering Column
Replacement).
4. Disconnect the brake pedal position sensor (1) electrical connector.
