REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT:  The wire routing for the components inside the steering column is critical. When servicing the ignition lock cylinder, maintain proper
wire routing.

It is not necessary to match the replacement Key module to the ignition key. All replacement modules automatically learn the ignition key transponder
value of the first ignition key used to start the vehicle. The ignition key transponder value is learned permanently, so caution should be used to ensure
that unwanted ignition key transponder values are not learned.
1. Remove the steering column lock cylinder set.
2. Remove the upper and lower shrouds.
3. Disconnect the coded key controller connector.

4. Slide the control coded key (2) from the lock module assembly (1).

5. Disconnect the connector from the bottom of the ignition and key alarm switch assembly.
