DeVille DHS V8-4.6L VIN Y (2000)
Tighten the lower ball joint nut to knuckle nut to 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.) plus an additional 150 degrees.
For cotter pin alignment, tighten the nut up to, but do not exceed 60 degrees additional rotation. Do not back off nut for cotter pin alignment.
4. Install a new cotter pin.
5. Install the tie rod.
Tighten the tie rod end to knuckle nut to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) plus an additional 200 degrees.
For cotter pin alignment, tighten the nut up to, but do not exceed 60 degrees additional rotation. Do not back off nut for cotter pin alignment.
6. Install the hub and bearing to the steering knuckle/drive axle.
7. Install the hub and bearing retaining bolts.
Tighten the hub and bearing bolts to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.).
8. Connect the wheel speed sensor connector to the wheel speed sensor.
9. Install the rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Front (Without J55) or Brake Rotor Replacement - Front (J55) in Disc Brakes.
10. Install the caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Front (Without J55) or Brake Caliper Replacement - Front (J55) in Disc Brakes.
