C 3500 HD Truck 2WD V8-8.1L VIN G (2002)
1. Install the outer tie rod end (4) to the tie rod end sleeve (5).
2. Install the outer tie rod end (1) into the tie rod arm.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the nut (3) to the outer tie rod end.

Tighten the nut to 88 Nm (55 ft. lbs.)
4. Install the cotter pin.
4.1.
Align the cotter pin slot to the nut with the hole (2) through the tie rod stud.
4.2.
DO NOT back off the nut in order to align the slot.
5. Adjust the front toe.
6. Tighten The tie rod sleeve nut.

Tighten the sleeve nut to: 104 Nm (77 ft. lbs.).
