Camaro V8-6.2L (2010)
Note: The rear park brake cables are replaced as an assembly.
6. Pull the rear park brake cable equalizer (1) forward and connect the front park brake cable to the equalizer.
7. Install the rear park brake cable ferrules (2) to the retaining bracket.
Seat the cable ferrules fully in the retaining bracket.
8. Install the fuel tank heat shield. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel
Tank/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement).
9. Install the exhaust muffler intermediate heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and
Exhaust/Exhaust System/Muffler/Service and Repair/Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement).
10. Apply and release the park brake lever 2-3 times to set the park brake cable tension and inspect for proper operation.
