Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE  

1. Remove the console. 
2. Remove the I/P accessory trim plate. 

3. Disconnect the floor shift control electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the I/P wiring harness clip from the floor shift control and reposition the harness.
5. Remove the shift control boot. 

6. Disconnect the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) solenoid electrical connector.

7. using a flat bladed screwdriver, carefully unsnap the BTSI solenoid lower clip attachment from the shift control pivot arm stud.
