5. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector (425).
6. Remove the oil pump bolts (411).
Important: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the oil pump assembly. Cap the ends as necessary.
7. Remove the oil pump (413).
Installation Procedure
Important: Inspect the oil pump and engine block oil galley passages to make sure they are clear and free of debris or restrictions.
1. Align the splines of the crankshaft sprocket to the oil pump drive gears and install the oil pump (413) until the pump housing contacts the face of
the engine block.
2. Loosely install the oil pump bolts (411). DO NOT tighten down the bolts at this time.
