Oil Filter Adapter and Oil Cooler Assembly Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) hose/pipe assembly. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Replacement (See:
Powertrain Management/Emission Control Systems/Exhaust Gas Recirculation/EGR Cooler/Service and Repair/Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve
Cooler Replacement).
2. Loosen the water pump outlet pipe bolts. Refer to Water Pump Outlet Pipe Replacement (LMM) (See: Water Pump/Service and Repair/Water

Replacement).
3. Remove the five oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly bolts and nuts.
4. Remove the water pump outlet pipe, oil filter adapter and oil cooler assembly.
