Auxiliary HVAC Module Removal and Installation
Removal Procedure
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service
and Repair/Procedures/Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) (See: Engine,

3. Remove the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side).
4. Remove the left rear corner garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding
/ Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement).
5. Remove the air distribution duct upper. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Outlet Duct Replacement (See: Air Register/Service and
Repair/Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Outlet Duct Replacement).
6. Remove the air distribution duct lower. Refer to Auxiliary Heater Air Outlet Duct Replacement (See: Air Duct/Service and Repair/Auxiliary
Heater Air Outlet Duct Replacement).
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the auxiliary HVAC module (1).
8. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
9. Remove the cover from the underside of the auxiliary HVAC module.
10. Remove the one retaining nut in order to remove the auxiliary evaporator underbody rear tube assembly from the core.
