Secondary Air Injection Components
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle.
3. Nut (2) from air pump assembly adapter.
4. Lower secondary air injection system hose from check valve. Refer to figure.
5. Vacuum hose from secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve.
6. Electrical connector from secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve.
7. Secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve.
8. Lower hose, silencer, and adaptor from secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve. Refer to Figure.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Lower hose and silencer to new secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve. Refer to figure.
2. New gasket and adapter secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve.
3. Manually start two bolt/screws. Torque adapter bolt/screws to secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve to 27 Nm (20 ft lb).
4. Secondary air injection system electric air control bypass valve and new gasket to air pump assembly.
