Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR)

During certain frontal crashes, the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System (SIR) supplements the restraint of the driver's and passenger's seat belts by
deploying an air bag from the driver inflator module mounted to the center of the steering wheel and the passenger inflator module mounted on the right
side of the instrument panel. The inflator module houses the air bag and inflator and should be handled with care to prevent accidental deployment.

When servicing a vehicle equipped with SIR, be sure to observe all WARNINGS and CAUTIONS. Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts.
