Front Suspension
Removal Procedure
Important: If you are removing the front suspension Crossmember order to gain access to other components, you may remove the front suspension
crossmember, the bans support, the two lower control arms, and the front stabilizer shaft (if equipped) together as a complete unit. Refer to the
FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER, TRANS SUPPORT, LOWER CONTROL ARMS, AND FRONT STABILIZER SHAFT REMOVAL
PROCEDURE. If you are only replacing the front suspension crossmember, continue with this procedure.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly from the vehicle. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRES AND
WHEELS.
3. Remove the following components from the crossmember:

The one bolt (13)

The four nuts (12, 14, 15, 16)
4. Support the front suspension Crossmember with a jack.
5. If the vehicle is equipped with a front stabilizer shaft (11), remove the front stabilizer shaft and suspension support brace (10). Refer to
STABILIZER SHAFT REPLACEMENT.
6. If the vehicle is not equipped with a front stabilizer shaft, remove the following components:

The two suspension support brace nuts (4, 6)

The suspension support brace (5)
