Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments
3 Speed-MB3 Automatic Transmission
1. Inspect the TV cable (1) for deflection or looseness.
2. Verify that the throttle valve (3) position is fully closed.
3. Measure the TV cable boot-to-inner cable stopper clearance with a feeler gage. If the clearance is more than 1.0 mm (0.04 inch), adjust the TV
cable.
4. Adjust the TV cable boot-to-inner cable stopper (4) clearance by turning TV cable adjustment nuts (1,2) until a clearance of 1.0 mm (0.04 inch)
has been reached. Further adjustment on the TV cable adjustment nuts may not be available. If so, you may also use the accelerator cable
adjustment nuts in order to adjust the clearance between the TV cable boot (3) and the inner cable stopper (4).

TV cable locknut and adjust the nut to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
