7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Remove the nuts and bolts (1) from the exhaust manifold (2).
9. Remove the exhaust manifold and the gasket.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Important: When installing a new exhaust system component, always use new gaskets and seals.
1. Install the exhaust manifold with a new gasket.
Tighten the manifold nuts and bolts (1) to 30 Nm (21.5 ft. lbs.).
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Install the exhaust manifold reinforcement bracket following to the exhaust manifold and engine block:

Tighten the engine mount-to-exhaust bracket bolt (1) to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
