Install the seat foam into the seat cushion cover. Be sure to tuck the seams on the hook and loop fasteners at the foam trenches.

Set the seat cushion aside for later installation.
19.
If equipped, remove the lumbar support lever from the side of the seatback.
20.
Remove the arm rest screw cover and the screw that attaches the arm rest to the seatback.
21.
Unhook the J clip retainers holding the seat back cover.
22.
If the seatback cover is being replaced:
Vehicles without Side Airbag:
a.
Remove the headrest and head rest tubes.
b.
Completely remove and discard the seatback cover.
Vehicles with Side Airbag:
NOTE:
The entire seatback assembly must be replaced.
a.
Disconnect the yellow air bag wiring connector located at the bottom of the seatback.
b.
Remove the lower recliner pivot fasteners.
c.
Remove the upper recliner pivot bolts.
d.
Remove and discard the seatback assembly.
e.
Place the new seat back into position.
f.
Install the upper recliner pivot bolts. Tighten the bolts to 40 ft.lbs. (54 N.m).
g.
Install the lower recliner pivot fasteners. Tighten the fasteners to 40 ft. lbs. (54 N.m).
