Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair

1.

Fill master cylinder with reservoir with brake fluid.

2.

Using a suitable length and diameter of vinyl hose, insert end of hose into a container full of brake fluid.

3.

Secure opposite end of hose to wheel cylinder bleeder plug farthest from master cylinder.

4.

An assistant should depress brake pedal slowly several times, then hold-down. Do not depress completely.

5.

Loosen bleeder valve. Watch for air bubbles in fluid.

6.

Tighten bleeder screw before pressure is lost inline.

7.

Repeat procedure until all air bubbles are absent, brake pedal is firm and no leakage is present.
